Enrichment

At King's Leadership Academy Hawthornes, every student elects to participate in three enrichments across the year from the list below. The vertical structure allows for greater personal choice so that students can truly choose an enrichment which excites them. For the majority of enrichments, different year groups are integrated. By grouping students in where their passions lie, we cultivate a greater sense of identity and belonging; We believe character development is often a group process, as individuals we grow through the shared experiences we have with our peers. We bond together to overcome difficulties and share successes and are stronger for them. 

We have consulted our key stakeholders and created a unique enrichment curriculum which helps students to develop the skills they need alongside motivated peers. Doing so means that character development can emerge naturally and organically.   It is our belief that doing something which you care about alongside people that you care about harnesses positive relationships and contributes to the wellness of the school and the people in it.
